YO CRAZY IVAN THIS IS THE QUESTION SECTION WAKE UP

Why can't I visit all the sections in my u-boat any reason why or was it just deemed not worth putting in the game???

Not worth putting in. They ran out of time long before much of the things talked about had even been started by the looks of it. Unfortunate that time constraints cut out big chunks of the game.

But i think that there was never an aim to put in all sections of the boat, how cool would it have been though, to have the engine room ect! Would have loved that.

ok call me stupid (oh by the way hello) i have done 20 missions bad and good but for the life of me can not dock or finish the patrols what do i have to do (all i do is hit escape and exit patrol )?? please help i am desprate

Hi flober,

Welcome to the site right to your question you have done nothing wrong its a quick way to end the game but if you want to sail back to base plot your course and sail in to harbor after you dock press exit you will see (DOCK) at what every your base is named so your not doing anything wrong all you been doing is leaving the patrol the easy way and not sailing home hope that helps.

Something very wrong here there is no KP Grid on the game map as you have seen the first grid is AD and the last is GR. I have or so checked a real U-boat grid map the first grid is AC and the last is HN so there can not be KP grid you need to recheck that grid zone if in case you got it wrong if it still shows this try re-installing. Or better still sail out to any grid takes some pot shots at the enemy and sail home you should get a new grid on your next patrol. If this KP grid comes up again sounds like there some sort of software problem with the game. You will have to decide for yourself on that one hope this helps very strange.

I got it wrong about the real U-Boat map there is a KP Grid its in the Indian Ocean. But of course it has nothing to do with SH3.

You will not find the KP grid in the game dont worry about it. You will only find it on a real U-Boat maps from World War Two.

The problem sounds odd but it was only a small one if it happens again just do what I said not worth panicking over a very minor glitch and its possible you will not see it again strange one that.

Hi All,

very much the novice lieutenant - still on the training missions. Couple of observations so far:
firstly generally very good realism etc but puzzled as to how its possible for me to receive radio messages when submerged - not technically possible I would have thought but does happen in the game - is this only in the training section or throughout the game?
secondly the "flak" training - surely the actual response to the appearance of a single aircraft (let alone a parade of them doing figures of eight overhead!) was crash dive pronto (all right I admit I'm in a sulk over this one as I used up all the ammo without hitting a single plane )
Still haven't passed the convoy attack yet - been sunk about four times, generally OK for targetting / firing torpedoes but get a lot of "duds" so maybe need to look at the settings screen. I keep the steering control on "compass" which is a bit fiddly for fine adjustment when manoevering on attack run but cannot get on with the alternative "rudder" icon as you have to remember to set it back to centre after each course change and there's lots to do at that point - anyone else think it would be really useful to have a "nudge on the tiller" button/setting for fine adjustment where it would self-centre after input (bit like the steering on a car)?
