Hey Richard,
April 1945:
In Russia Peace talks are back on again, Both sides are tense, but at least both side are talking once again. In Germany all Nazi leadership is rounded up and given a choice, pledge loyalty to the new German Gov. or face prison, all 50 former Nazi leaders pledge to follow the new gov. Dietrich sends apologies to Russia and France for what the former gov. did to their people. France accepts the document, Russia does not respond. In America Roosevelt is buried, the nation is in great grief. Truman is getting his footing with his new post and is brought up to speed on all presidential matters . In the pacific the Japanese spays at Pearl Harbor find out about the invasion force steaming to Iwo Jima. Japan strengthen the island with troop reinforcements. Japanese high command readies their Kamikaze air Force which they started at midway with good results.
May 1945: In the Pacific Iwo Jima is attacked by Task force 60, 70 and 54 Troops land on the beaches , but the Japanese forces are dug in and the Americans suffer many dead on the first day. Kamikaze plane attack the fleet a few day later sinking 1 aircraft carrier, and 7 other ships. Over 100 plane are lost for the Japanese. In Russia peace talks are on and off, 2 sides are struggling for power, possible civil war could start in the near future. The Germans continue to strengthen the DMZ zone.
June 1945:
In the Pacific Iwo Jima is still be fought, The Americans control the sky's and sea, but the troops dug in are fighting to the death. Over 15000 American troops are dead. In America Truman is stunned by the Japanese will to fight to the death. He decides once he is able, he will use the Atomic bomb to bring Japan to it's knees. To try to invade Japan and take it by force could cost over 1 million American lives.

Hey Richard,
June 1945:
In Europe rebuilding continues. In Russia peace talks are back off. The tension in Russia is severe the country is on the brink of civil war, as the Communist and Pro Military sides continue to disagree and throw insults at one another. Germany is concerned but not alarmed. The Russian have little to fight with and their industry is non existent. This will be a civil war of small arms and left over and patched up old military equipment. As the heat of the Russian summer increases so does the tension in Russia.
July 1945: In Russia Civil war breaks out. The Germans are dug in on the DMZ watching the action. They have informed both governments that any attack against the Germans would be met with swift and deadly force. Do not enter the DMZ zone. In the pacific Iwo Jima is still being fought, 2/3 of the island is secure but the Americans are paying a heavy price for every foot of ground. Probing forces of American, British and German forces are probing the Gilbert, Marshal Chain of islands. So far no contact with the enemy. Every island is abandoned and everything destroyed.
Aug. 1945: On Aug 5th Iwo Jima is secure, B-29 bombers are positioned on the island. The Americans lost over 32000 troops, while the complete Japanese garrison of 65000 is wiped out, only a small hand full surrender. British and German forces next check the Solomon chain , same as before, Late in the month the Palau chain is checked, still no contract. The invasion force at Iwo Jima sail South to the Mariana's chain the Japanese have pulled out of there as well. Guam back in American hands. At the end of the month British forces finally make contact around the Philippines. In Russia the civil war continues both sides feeling each other out, a stalemate at this point, Both sides have kept a wide berth from the German DMZ. In America, Truman wants Gen Lamay to conduct a massive bombing campaign ASAP to bring the war to Japans shores. First bombing raid to start by months end.

August - September 1945
Japan
The first major bombing raids by the U.S.A.A.F have started Japan has thousands of A.A Guns located in key positions and by pulling there air force back to defend the home land American bombers suffer 89% loss rate on its first raids on the next two 74% and 79%
America
President Harry Truman is shocked of the loss of aircraft and holds high level talks with the air force not long after this meeting Truman wonders should he use the A-Bomb ?

Hey Richard, Sept. 1945: In Germany the talks between Prime minister Attlee go very well. Attlee and Dietrich become fast friends. the subject of Russia was at the top of the talks. Attlee has agreed to mediate peace talks between Russia & Germany. In Russia the civil war continues , both sides reject Attlee's attempt to bring both sides to the table with Germany. Pro military forces are gaining the early upper hand over the communist forces. In Europe U.S. Gen. George Patton is killed in a freak car accident. reconstruction & peace in the region is going well. In the pacific, British & American force invade Indonesia and Australia. Australia is liberated 2 weeks later. Bitter fighting in and around Port Mosby. The German Air craft carrier limps into Pearl harbor for repairs. In America Truman suspends Air operations over japan until the allies have better control over the sky's in and around Japan.
Oct. 1945:
in America the last of the 5 A-bombs are completed, the first 2 are being shipped to forward bases in the Pacific. Attlee confers wit Truman on the his meeting with Dietrich in Germany in August. Truman seems pleased with the results, however he is still very concerned over the Russia situation. In Russia the communist forces again attack a German position in the DMZ. This time the Germans respond with a massive air strike at a communist stronghold near the Caucasus mountains in the south. Many pieces of destroyed military equipment and dead troops are the result. the Germans only suffer one downed HE280 aircraft. In the pacific the fight for port Mosby goes well for the allies. Japanese forces continue to be pushed back, some oil fields come under allied control. fighting breaks out around the Philippines with the British attacking the southern outer islands. In Germany Dornitz orders elements of task force trident to the pacific to join the air craft carrier Berlin under repair at Pearl Harbor.
Nov. 1945:
In the pacific bombing raids in and around the Philippines go well . main Island invasion is set for Jan.by British & American forces. Port Mosby Falls, the Japanese retreat north to the Endo china mainland. 80% of Indonesian oil is now in allied hands. Japan's oil production is cut by 65%. A group of 6 American subs operating off the China coast intercept a small task force heading to Japan. 1 Air craft carrier & 2 cruisers are sunk. two American subs are also sunk in the attack. On Nov.29th Task force trident Joins the nearly repaired Berlin at Pearl Harbor. In Russia the civil war has cooled along with the weather, most operations on both sides are scaling back due to another bitterly cold Russian winter getting in full swing. Attlee contacts both sides again to attempt to bring them to the peace table.
Dec. 1945:
In the Pacific Indonesia is fully in allied hands. The invasion forces move north toward the Philippines. Task force Trident leaves Pearl Harbor on Dec. 10th for Midway and staging for upcoming operations. In Russia the communist & Pro military sides agree to meet with Attlee one on one but not together. The talks are not that fruitful, not much progress made on either side.

Hey Richard,
Jan 1946: In America after 14 months of redesign and help from the British the P-80 Fighter goes into full production a 4 engine High altitude Bomber the B-36 also goes into production. In England at Scapa Flow their first large carrier is completed 1.5 years after the Germans nearly destroyed it. in Dry dock. The HMS Churchill is the worlds first fully jet aircraft carrier and is as large as the American Essex class carriers. In Russia all is quiet, both sides continue to talk with Attlee off and on, by long distance means. In the pacific Luzon in the Philippines is invaded by the Allies. Germany's task force Trident with British embedded ships arrive at Midway, & await new orders. In Japan the war is going badly. Oil production is down by 70%. Fuel shortages are starting to hurt the Japanese war effort. American subs have crippled the Merchant fleet, and the surface fleet is 60% destroyed. Ship yards in Japan continue to build but material and fuel are in short supply. Japanese cities have suffered only moderate damage so far from allied air raids. The only good news Japans new Kamikaze jet is ready for full production. the Jet is the fastest in the sky and carries a 1000Lb warhead. of explosives.

Hi MarshalLaw,
Rebury 1946
America
President Harry Truman has been informed the first A-Bomb has arrived at its secret location in striking distance of Japan Americas request for a end to the war has been turned down
Trueman has reluctantly given the green light the target has been selected and in 12 hours the flight takes off for its target in Japan
Japan
Flying over Japan is a B-29 with escort Japans air force attacks the B-29 has been damaged and forced to take evasive action the damage rec'd the radar and radio equipment destroyed the Pilot is forced to make a desion he does the bomb bay doors are opened the A-Bomb has been released minutes latter a massive blast erupts over Japan hours latter the B-29 crash lands in China all are killed six hours latter a reckon flight of 12 planes fly over Japan no aircraft has come up to take them on or any AA guns fired on them one of the planes reports he is over the blast zone the B-29 missed its target Tokyo has been destroyed along with the Emperor and his high level military staff some hours latter a radio message comes out of Japan they wish to talk and bring about a cease fire
One week latter Japan surrenders all military operations to stop but on some of the Islands they think its a lie and fight on along with pockets of fanatical fighters
March / April 1946
American forces have rounded up thousands of Jap troops and the Resistance is starting to crumble fighting continues to the end of April its been reported 69% of Resistance by fanatical fighters has ended
August 1946
The final fanatical fighters have been wiped out all Islands have been swept clear peace at long last
February 1946 to 1947
Eastern Russia
Civil war as broken out full scale and rages on to late September both sides have had heavy losses and no one side can win both sides start talks again the only possible solution is to divide Eastern Russia in to two half's both sides seem to agree and as the months go on the peace talks hold as Eastern Russia is divided up progress is slow but at long last is going in the right direction
END Richard
