Hitting E twice gets you proper Blow Ballast :D

I was just messing about earlier and testing the compressed air out. ;D

Well i always thought the blowing ballast was really weak... When you hit it the boat rises languidly.

If you hit E and then hit it again the ballast is blown properly, compressed air rushes out and the boat rockets to the surface! Is this a feature they just didnt tell us about? Or a dodgy bug?

Well now i can escape being crushed with ease Very usefull, im going to go tell everyone at the other forums!!

Well im no expert but i would say its more realistic then it was, before it was about a metre a second, which was lame.

Now it goes up pretty fast. Like a great metal thing filled with air.... So in my mind, how it should be.

When you blow ballast you are pusing all the water out and you should rush to the surface if my physics teacher did a good job teaching me...

I was in a situation once , where we had to emergency surface from about 120 metre's , we did it in around 30 seconds , which equates to 4 metres per second , but bear in mind the boat i was on was considerably larger than a WW2 boat ,

I always wondered what it was like inside a modern sub when they leap out of the water. I imagine things and men flying everywhere like in Hotshots when he does the roll in his fighter and his cards and stuff fall onto the glass lmao
