Rain?

When you Captains have rain and stormy weather
Does the Nav weather report say rain?
I have yet to see rain? I get in some heavy sea's
overcast and storm seems when I first got Sh3
and I was doing the nav training I made a wrong
turn and wound up going north to channel and I was
in storm with lighting and thunder don't remmber rain?
May have been Rain? I will watch for it.

yea they say rain, I can't seem to get away from it now, been at sea 5 days on 9th patrol, rain and storm everyday, haven't found a target yet.. so heading off irish coast always good hunting there

Yes find ship traffic off southwest coast Irland BF area
were the single merchant lanes converge I seem to find
east bound traffic heading toward Bristol area.
Was headed north to BF41 Last patro 2 I had
real nice weather all the way that's why I sunk 10 ships
most were with Deck Gun I had two fish left coming back
to St Nazaire weather got a little choppy as I was
returing to home port .
Patrol 3 U-46 heading southwest to CF-32 May pull out
tonigh How's the hunting in those areas?

The whole CF, CG, Dh, DJ areas are all feast or famine. That is my experience with them. Been getting sent there all the time now. They have amazing air cover when you get too close to Gibraltar. Stay clear of there and there are little or no aircraft. But ya, ships are there by the millions one time and rare as hen's teeth the next. Obviously it is my search methods. Right now once my 24 hour patrol is up I follow along the shipping lanes appropriate for the year I am in and am having a bit of luck. Most are pretty weakly escorted too. Even had one convoy being escorted by a lone Armed Trawler. ;D

weather great in area found a lone C2 on way to
patrol area deck gun crew sent him to davy Jones
Locker I have a feeling Gibiraltar could be a Active
and Dangerous place to patrol Will See.
Still looking for Rain and my first convoy.

I have had quite a number of convoys. Will count myself lucky!
Lets keep in touch and see if we can figure out this whole area. It still seems a bit hit and miss to me.
Got bored enough I thought i would take on some of them hurricane fighter/bombers. So far on this mission I have bagged about 5 I think. Got to pick your fights though, more than 1 or 2 planes and it is time to dive. Have taken some damage from my scraps with them, but hull is still 100% and eveything else was fixed
Probably not very historically accurate because it is definately dodgy scraping with hurricanes. Glad it is still early '42, betcha later in the war these guys will do better.

Do You man the flak guns yourself ? ;D
I remember in Pacific Aces I was going to stay on surface during a Air attack The pilot dropped a bomb square on my Sub. So Just a reaction I give the command to Crash dive then adjust my dive after going under bet it would be neat to send them crashing into
sea like in naval academy with the flak gun training.

If I could invert the mouse command I would take them on myself. As it is, I am useless because I go up when I should go down... lol
I have a a flak gunner with all medals except the one you get when you are wounded. I have just upgraded my VIIC to a 2 flak gun boat so should get even better. I crash dive a lot with planes as well. if there is more than 2 I am out of there as fast as I can. Things may change now that I have 2 flak gun emplacements
Finally got sent somewhere other than the Gibraltar area. The saw fit to send me to AL sector this time. I am glad, I must of gone to Gib about the last 6 times or so. Maybe even more, sure seems like it. Got sick of that area actually.

Just got back from Patrol 3. Was approching Gibraltar
area and run into medium size waves and overcast
to much storm to use deck gun. was just west of strait
and head lot's screw noise but no visual till I when back
North found a C2 southbound off the Spainish coast.
When back to BF area and sunk 3 merchants
run low on fuel and when home. St Nazaire. With total
4 ships sunk Got a iron cross first class to hand out.
some crew promotions and crew medals.
How in the heck do you get a sub emb?
Does that come with awards? I am starting patrol 4
with renown 3835.65 points?
I got sub emb mod all those extra emb's installed?
I saw the 7th Fotilla emb was a white snorting bull.
A guy who made sub emb mod said I was in luck my
U-46 was a scull and cross bones?
I never been able to install any emb's?
My big compass mod didn't work but was lucky and
made backup files

You should be able to get at least flotilla emblem now, goto the uboat desk, over on the right is special items, click it and it should show side emblem on left, click it and it should give you a box with emblems available

I take on the planes now. I got teh VIIc upgrade to two light flak guns. I let the AI run one and I run the other. Getting decent at it now. is bloody hard!

never saw any other emblem choices?
I do have Jester's full emblem mod installed
Hope I got them in right folder
And I got Rain on this Patrol 4 southwest Irland

Your next side emblems should show up next patrol or so .. just keep checking ...
