Does anybody else have problems sailing out of Lorient and crashing into shore? Cant seem to get accelerated time to work either either. Dont have problems with other bases. Any ideas?

There is a way to get into your cfg files and change the 'too close to land' default max time compression. I am not sure how but have seen posts at the official forum. Bloody search engine does not work there so good luck finding it ... Maybe some more knowledgable people here can sort you out on this one.

I have just been in two ports Kiel and St Nazaire St Nazaire is easy. Open sea in front of you First time I try to leave Kiel was 2AM in morning so I though I could set way points on map and sail out "wrong." The Nav map must be off or something in those Home sub base? I had to wait till day light and Nav my self on Bridge. No problem then I hear Lorient sub base is hard to nav to open sea I bet you have to do it yourself on bridge no time acc. Lane

Its in the date/config folder. There is a file called Main.cfg In this are all the settings that time compression will drop to upon certain events. [TIME COMPRESSION] TimeStop=0 RealTime=1 LandProximity=1 CriticalDamage=1 CrewEfficiency=1 AirEnemyDetected=1 SoundEffects=2 CharacterAnim=4 EnemyDetected=8 RadioReport=8 Particles=8 PrayState=8 HunterState=32 3DRender=32 Maximum=1024 All you need to do is change the number, so if you want it to only drop to 32 times near land change it to 32. But remember it will now not slow down near land in dangerous situations also, and being near the ocean floor will also not slow down time.
