Oh man, put me into the list of peopel who can't run teh game. I upgraded froms FX 5600 to a 6600 GT and now the frame rate is so slow I can't play the game.
Any suggestions?

You should try to change for an Ati!
Try to update drivers and as last resort use the omega 1 for the nividia.
Im using Omega 1 for the Ati but they also had them for Nvidia.
And go to Sh3 official forum, ,maybe some can give You better options then Me, a happier Ati user ;D

My bad.
Complete and utter User Error!
Card was not getting enough power, there is a power cable that needs to be plugged in. That or my power supply is not big enough, but that is not usually a problem with the 6600gt, they are not power pigs like their bigger cousins the 6800 series Going to take it back to the folks that installed it for me just so they can't blame me for anything. lol
Anyway, I can't blame SH3 for this.

Cracked the case myself and sure enough there was a power cable not plugged in. Easy as pie fix. SH3 runs super smooth now, what an improvement over my other card. Of course I was expecting an improvement, got got more than I bargined for. The periscope turns a lot faster, I did not realize it was my card, I just thought it was one of those 'realism' things. I always used the shift key to help speed up panning with everything.

Even the nvidia bug seems to be not so bad. I still get a somewhat decent frame rate when looking into the spray. Only drops down to 20 or 30 fsp. So even though it is a bit thick for spary, it clears up quick enough and you can see |

Venge, Glad you got it fixed I am running a ATI 9600XT Only sims I have installed SH3, I got Dangerous Waters have it installed and Combat Mission's Barbarossa to Berlin. and some bench mark Demo's I just got this new system a few weeks ago. I had a Duron 800 with a G2 card before. Would not run these new sims and I was using win 98 SE. Glad you up and running Lane |

Well, I would not of been impressed, upgrading from a 5600 to a 6600gt and finding I can't play the game!  Is sweet now, I have a p4 3000, a gig of DDR and the new 6600gt and frame rate to spare everywhere but for the nvidia bug. |
