-Spotted and engaged 1 J Class DD. Sunk warship with 1 T1(G7a) at 1454hrs.

-Spotted and engaged 1 Hunt 1 Class DD. Sunk warship with 1 T1(G7a) at 1609hrs.

-Spotted and engaged UK Small Merchant. Sunk merchant with 1 T1(G7a) at 0628hrs.

-Intercepted reported convoy at 1438hrs. Dove to periscope depth, standard speed and maneuvered in front of convoy route.
-Commenced visual ID of convoy at 1453hrs. Four-column, 15-ship convoy formation, 7 kts speed. 11 UK and 4 USA merchants. No escorts.
-Engaged convoy for submerged torpedo attack at 1504hrs. Persicope depth, 1/3 speed.
-Engaged and sunk UK T2 Tanker with 2 T1(G7a) at 1528hrs.
-Engaged and sunk UK C2 Cargo with 2 T1(G7a) at 1529hrs. Convoy breaking formation.
-Engaged and sunk UK C2 Cargo with 1 T1(G7a) at 1539hrs.

-Patrol concluded. 13 Merchants sunk, 54,411 Tonnes. 3 Warships sunk, 3,878 Tonnes.


All torpedo attacks in this patrol was a submerged attack.

The first two destroyers sunk were at the harbor of Scapa Flow patrolling. After the first DD was blown off by my torpedo, three more V&W Class DDs and a J Class DD closed into the vicinity where the first met its fate. My boat was now rigged for silent running. The three V&W Class DDs passed by, while the J Class DD was right on my tail. She got blown up by my stern torpedo minutes later.

During the entire convoy assault, the weather was just perfect: a bright, sunny day with no wind and waves to hamper the destruction of the unescorted merchant ships. Unfortunately, the Americans at this time were neutral.

Stryker, read these well:

1. when you start a career in 1939, choose the 7th flottila based in kiel! they let you operate type viib u-boats!

2. if you can't even sink a lone destroyer, you are any or all of these:
-incompetent coz you get detected and sunk by depth charges!
-stupid coz you attacked a destroyer with your deck gun or worst, your flak gun!
-just too yellow to even face one, let alone sink one!

3. before you even start accusing me to be the greatest liar ever, TAKE A REAL GOOD LOOK AT THE IMAGES BELOW!








4. if you can't see those marked in red, i wouldn't be surprised if you can't find a destroyer!

5. now, go buy yourself a drink!

LOL VERRRRRRRRY INTERESTING .. espesically since in the unmodded career mode the UBoat Clasp isnt issued in 1939 ... and NO real Uboat commanders EVER sunk 3 DD ... but what the heck ;D as Iv'e said in previous post .. IT"S A GAME PLAY it however you want as long as YOU have fun .. just don't expect EVERYBODY in the world to bow down

if you haven't received the u-boat front clasp early in the war, especially in 1939, it doesn't mean no one else can. i haven't received any commendation on my first patrol because i only sank 3 ships. will you be awarded even a single medal if you only sink 3 ships compared to when you sink a hell of a lot more? THINK ABOUT IT! and my game is unmodded.

i posted my accomplishment in this forum to let people know that it CAN be done, not that i wan't to be praised and bowed down! i never bragged my accomplishment in any forum nor i told anyone reading it that they can't do what i've done.

Stryker, know these and know them well:

sharing experiences from the game IS NOT bragging.

if you can't accomplish anything, DON'T flatter yourself that no one esle can because you are bound to be wrong!

EVERYBODY here has played the GAME since it came out and all use 71-100 realism (obviously you must be 0-23 with your ratio of sinks to torpedos)

EVERYBODY here knows how to sink DD with game bug shots (we just don't do it because it's totally UNREALISTIC)

NOBODY here (that I know of) ever got that damn clasp because the game gives it after the KC is awarded

Sharing STORIES, made up, actually happened, just plain BS is just for fun, part of the way Dom set up this board .. posting UNREALISTIC (look at me I'm a GOD) numbers is BRAGGING .. (subject to CAT bashing )

and LAST -- NOBODY cares, it's a GAME, it's computerized pixels on a screen played for FUN.. it's not a world shattering event, it's NOT REAL.. if you take it personal, you need to get up out of that chair, go outside in the fresh air, and notice that you don't have a UBOAT, ROCKETSHIP, FIGHTER PLANE, or a DRAGON sitting in your front yard ...

The only convoy I ever ran up on that I THOUGHT was unescorted waited for me to close to 2000m ....then the DD's popped out from behind the Tankers I still got a T3 Tanker, 1 of 2 DDs, and a C2 merchant. Submerged and headed into the convoy to mask my retreat...

IT'S A goddamm GAME! it will never be real no matter what you do. you'll never even get as close as real. we play it how we like it! if you don't like the way i play it, then don't. nobody asked you anyway. SH3 IS A GAME. so why are you complaining about it to be unrealsitic? do you honestly think putting your realism setting at 200% will make it more real? you'll still be sitting in front of your pc for cryin' out loud!

if you still think i'm bragging (which i am not) because of how the way i presented it, well, that's really your problem.

man, if you want it to be really real, why don't you join the navy, or better yet, why don't you join the drug cartel in colombia. they've got a midget sub that looked like a u-boat. tell them you've been playing sh3 on 200% realism setting, maybe they'll let you command it. i'm pretty much sure they'll even let you paint your black cat on the tower sniffing.

have YOU ever ATTACKED a convoy in 1939, UNESCORTED, cruising at 7kts ONLY, in BROAD DAYLIGHT and in GOOD weather conditions?

if so, you wouldn't be complaining about my post!

Hi all chill out SH3 is a game a great one at that but at the end of the it's not real just play it and have fun after all if you could nip back in time do you want to be on a u-boat for real ? any way time travel is sci-fi just to rap it up have fun I know I am stay cool and enjoy.
