Anyone who read what i wrote about my campaign coming to abrupt end last night will know that i now have no crew, but just before everything went pear shaped, i was looking at my crew, and they were all veterans, with tons of medals, especially my officers, and all senior lieutenants.
This got me thinking that in the real war, especially as Uboat losses mounted, the uboats who had experienced crews would have been drained of manpower to provide the nucleus for the new ships. this would be a nice touch if they periodically took your best officer/warrant officers, supposedly for another ship/command, and gave u a green replacement.
i suppose it wouldnt even need a mod,u cud just replace them yourself after 5 patrols or so.
what do you think a realistic time would be? How long on average did an officer stay on a ship? say the first lieutenant?

[shadow=red,left,300][/shadow] I Would Have To Watch it Again To Get The "Absolute" Details, But in (Das Boot),The Movie..... When it Starts Out. The Captain is Hanging Out W/ His New XO, Kinda Showing Him the Ropes--So to Speak. Well To Make A Long Story Short. The Crew and Some Friends, Have A Party "later that night" For The Promoted , Previous XO..... As ,He Also Got His Own Command W/ A Boat To Go W/ It. .. The Point Being, I believe it was Time and Rank that Dictated That Situation,Etc I Hope This Helps, Good Luck and Keep The Wind at Your Back!!!!!! Eddie atMrTransStr@AOL.com
