Multiplayer madness!

How in the heck do you get yourself "ready" after you've set yourself all up in multiplayer. I understand you hit "alt + Tab" to do so or so I was told but that doesnt seem to be it I always get kicked or just get left behind on launches.

the new patch is meant to fix that problem.

but I can't be sure, cos I haven't been able to install the pacth yet!
