Well I've seen a lot of discussion lately about different generals of ww2 and was wondering. Which of the American generals were in your opinion the best?

Hey Rommel,
Well in my opinion 3 stand out:
General Patton- due to his bulldog type of drive to get the job done. However his temper got him in trouble a little too often. General Marshall - Best Logistics man in the US military. Was a expert on how to move men and equipment in the quickest and fastest way possible. plus get the best bang for the buck. Admiral Nimitz- Keen insight on naval warfare made the most of what he had to work with including very early in the pacific war.
As for the rest they had their good and bad points. But these 3 made the difference.

Hi rommel, I will admit I'm not to well up on American Generals etc I do agree with MarshlLaw Patton was a front line General and very aggressive he was in the right place and as for Admiral Nimitz yes he was also very good in his role just as a interesting point after the war it was Nimitz who saved Admiral Karl Donits from being hanged on the charge of conducting unrestricted war on the high seas at Donits trial Nimitz said I also gave the same order to the U.S Sub fleet so you would have to find me guilty anyway Donits got off with a 20 year sentence as for Nimitz that was a risky thing he did but it was the right thing to do I will have to look in to your Generals a bit more.
