Why did Germany enter the war

well i can see that there are many history buffs in this forum so i was wondering. Why did Germany go to war and why did they chose Hitler.

Good question I will try to answer it without going to deep in the reasons so lets get going -

The seeds of the rise of Hitler and the second world war started in 1918 when Germany was defeated in the first world war the victors lay-ed down the treaty of versaille this was a very harsh treaty which resulted in the Germany economy to collapse mass unemployment perfect breeding ground for extreme view points the time line the 1920's Hitler found he had the gift of the gab a speaker who could hold your attention during 1920 the SA is set up and Hitler takes over the leadership of the party he joined and became N.S.D.A.P which stood for the National Socialist German Workers Party.

November 1923
Hitler leads the beer hall putsch with Ludendorff to take power by force he fails the out come the Nazi party and the SA are banned and Hitler is sent to Landsberg prison while in prison writes his first book Mein Kampf moving on in December 1923 Hitler is released from prison from this point on Hitler tries to get to power by the ballet box.

June 1925
The first SS units are formed July 1926 Hitler Youth created Jan 1929 Himmler becomes the first Reichsfuhrer of the SS strength is 280 men during 1926 -1930 the Nazi Party starts to gain more seats but not enough to take power the SA numbers are swelling.

1930-1934
during this period Hitler and the Nazi party are doing well in April 1932 Goring takes control of the Prussian Police and Hitler puts on the pressure on President Hindenburg and in Jan 1933 Hitler gains position of Chancellor and in March 1934 the last Reichstag elections are held and in August 1934 President Hindenburg dies the office of president is abolished Hitler becomes Fuhrer of the Third Reich.

During the 1920's Hitler believed the only reason for the German collapse of 1918 was the work of Jews and Communists more so with the Jews he believed they were behind the stab in the back and damanged Germany as Jewish shops were doing well while other non Jews were not this hatred was slowly being introduce into the German way of life during the 1930's and Hitler started a massive rearmaments pro gramme and Germany was back to work the feel good factor and after the political land grabs of the mid to late 1930's Hitler puts the people of Germany on course for war the seeds of this are set down in Hitlers book the vision of a greater German Reich in western Russia.

Hitler has two problems Starlin and the west he decides to buy off and create a false vision of peace with Starlin by telling him he can have eastern Poland the result of this the west is not sure how to act when Hitler invades Poland after this victory Hitler must now deal with his second problem he wants to attack Russia so in 1940 Hitler attacks the west with the fall of France his main enemy the threat to Germany is gone not so England has not been defeated and the Luftwaffe has suffered its first major defeat but at this stage England is no real threat Hitlers time table is upset by Italy making a number of errors in southern Europe.

On the eve of Operation Barbarossa Hitler said the second world war will be settled on the eastern front how right he was Hitler failed to Take Russia by 1942 the tide turns in 1943 on the eastern front another error by Hitler declared war on the U.S.A in 1942 Hitler had sowed the seeds of his downfall with England ready to cross the channel with her allies in 1944 Hitler was defeated war on two fronts had come.

April 1945
Hitler had promised victory and a greater Reich the German people went along with it now in the last days the German people payed the price of there error and as Hitler dictated his testament he still stated the war was funded and started by the Jews and he tried to save Germany from them if Hitler had stopped after the fall of France history as we know it would have been different but no he wanted western Russia the result of this he bled his army dry as he took over the running of the war in Russia in 1942 unlike Stalin who stepped aside after the defeat trying to recapture Kharkov in 1942 Hitler had committed his people to total war in 1943 and to fight to the end and stained them with the darkest history the attempt to exterminate the Jews.

Hitler rise to power was slow Germany was in a mess someone had to show they were up to the job as Hitler and the Nazis started to make there mark in the 1920's into the 1930's don't forget Hitler never took power by out right force he took power by the ballat box and once he done that he got Germany back to work by re-arming the military the seeds of war lay in his book Mein Kampf the German People were taken in by Hitler as he moved down the road to war and downfall.

One thing to add about Hitlers hatred of the Jews. When Hitlers mother died, ( he was a mama's boy ) she was being cared for by a Jewish decent doctor. Hitler blamed the doctor for his mothers death, That was the seed. From there it ballooned as Richard stated .
