As far as manual TDC. I never realized all the auto solutions are available by getting your weapons officer to do it for you, no matter what your realism setting is. That is kind of silly. Only difference between that and auto targetting is two clicks on the weap officer. I find myself adjusting the auto targetting most of the time anyway, so whats the diff?

I guess because in the case of realism, there are no one man submarines, the Kaptain did not manual target, he had officers to do it, like in the game ,, and the more experianced they get the better they get...
it's their job so letting them do it is not taking away from the game

Its also an inbetween. On auto its like a futuristic targeting system, it targets and updates. With the weapons officer (im guessing i never used him) he only makes one setting when you ask him to? This is more realistic. You could set and then fire at a few ships in a convoy line rather each new ship being an exact tdc whenever you aim the scope at them. Apart from the fact he is instant with his amounts that is the most realistic way to play, if you just wait 5-30 seconds before you ask him or something it would be perfect. To simulate him working it out

That delay is a good idea! Makes sense. Would make it vastly different from auto targetting and using your W.O. Needs something to make it different ...
