U-511 was the first submarine to test fire 30cm rockets from wooden frames mounted on the deck, both from the surface and while submerged in 1942.

Testing and development was discontinued due to the frame causing problems with the boats undersea performance..

Well if they could fire a V2 from a sub that would have made a difference. But 30cm rockets are useless (unless they have poison gass ).
