Does anyone else do this? When I am being hunted by an escort, I put my observation scope up just a little. You can see a fair distance and you can tilt it straight up. You can watch the escort come in and turn the way out of danger. Watching the depth charges come in is interesting and how they pattern the drop.
Also, when in bad weather like fog or rain, I scan with either scope and hit the lock button to see if it will pick up anything. If I do get something, it doesn't last long, but I get a good idea where the ships are.
Any other good uses you can think of?
