I've read a lot about DDs and their super sub-hunting abilities. What classes of destroyers make up this deadly group? There's nothing in the game, as far as I've seen. I looked on the net and found something to indicate U.S. Fletcher-class destroyers might be part of this group. Any help would be great. I'm in my first career right now and it's January 1941. When can I expect to see them?

As far as I have understood it, DD means simply the warship class of destroyers. In old SH1 the recognition manual was sorted after two-letter warship classes, and DD was destroyer.

Yes, DD = Destroyer, DE = Destroyer Escort, You'll Find Them W/ Convoys ,Mostly and Occasionally By ThemSelves or Showing up When They Find out Your In Town.. There Small And Fast, 30 - 40 Knts... I Try To Wait For Them To Get Into Their Attack Run, Either Astern or From The Aft, Line Them Up @ 0 or 180 Degrees, Set a Torp to Run at About 2 Meters Deep,Bingo , Or My Other Favorite is To Go Deep And Shut Down!!!!!! Good Luck and Sail On..
