does anybody know if till the end of career we will get and something else beside patrols missions??
i wanna go 4 warships, where can i find them?

Vassia warships are rare. If they were there all the time it would be no fun!!

To find warships you can risk sneaking into British warship anchourages (Scapa flow and the lock on the west of scotland) Though you are not guaranteed to find a warship.

Also you know while you are on patrol you get messeges from BDU telling you of convoys and single ships?

Well also you will get messages telling you of Warships. These are often VERY hard to catch if they are not near because they move so fast. But if you are lucky and see one nearby and can intercept you will get your warship!

Other warship bases are Alexandria in the med, and Gibralter. But be carefull around them!!!

I have yet to sink a warship in a campaign apart from one in the anchourage in The loch. I have had contacts of warships though and it was to far away to hope to intercept at the speed it was doing. so i just had to curse like the captain in Das boot and watch the map contact fade

One thing I have noticed with BDU reports is what was called a "Convoy" (with 1 escort) before is now called a "Task Force" (with 3 escorts).
I ran halfway across the ocean to to intercept what I thought was a medium speed group of warships called a task force. Was I ever disappointed, a few corvettes and a DD and a bunch of merchants. Well, was still happy to find a convoy of course, but it did not turn out to be what I had my hopes up for.

Take a slow trip though the English channel U will find heaps of warships there

thanks 4 the tip, i just imagined that in a carrer u would find yourself in situations far more difficult that in searching 4 merchants ships, the ones like in single missions; i mean in 4 years at sea nobody planned anything, an attack or smth, witch reguired our help!!! they did it in single missions, they could have done it in campain too, right??
i remember in silent hunter 2 in chased and finally found a small carrier with escorts and everything and sunk it with 5 torps, then another mission to go ahead and recon a area where later they dissembark troops and there startet a really nice battle betwen like 8 ,10 ships, man that`s was like a very important mission to me. anyway SH3 if far the best till now, and i`m crazy 4 it

I found a tugboat with a machine gun on it, boy did that one ever suprise me when i surfaced to pound it with the deck gun.
