Hi all! I love the guide on this site...but there is one area that I dont understand and isnt covered ANYWHERE I have looked. When you are using the P scope or UZO (or Binocs) and you are looking at a ship (especially if you are sumberged)... how do you know where the ships (convoy) is in relation to your ship. Example... Im submerged and see a convoy off to the left and 3000 m behind my ship on my Navigation map. I am on a parallel couse to the convoy. I then look through the Pericscope and want to know which direction to turn my ship so my front tubes are facing the enemy (hopefully at or near 0 deg gyro angle!). Hope this makes sense...... Im probably just doing something or missing something simple ;D

I'm not entirely sure that this is what you're getting at, but I'll answer it like this:
when you're looking at a ship with periscope or uzo or binocs, there's a scale on the top of the view, this is the bearing. All this is is the angle from the bow of your sub, going in a clockwise direction from the top, to whatever direction you're looking in (with the origin at your location).
so, as an example, imagine you and the target ship are stationary. You look at the ship through a scope and see that it is at bearing 270. This means it is directly to your port (left) side. To turn towards the ship, simply click on the "270" on the INNER dial of the compass. This should steer you ninety degrees to the left.
so if the target is stationary, to steer straight towards it, simply find the bearing from the uzo or whatever, and then click whatever that number is on the inner dial of the compass.
of course, when the target is moving, you have to predict where the ship is going to be by the time you get there, and therefore you have to steer to a bearing ahead of the target.
I'm sorry if this isn't your problem, just ask if you're still not sure...

AHHH..that was it!! Thanks!
It was as I thought...I was doing something NoB'ish. I was clicking the OUTER dial and wondering why I wasnt lining up my target like I wanted.....
So I take it the Outer dial is compass heading and the inner dial is for Bearing purposes.

make it simple .. 0 is your bow.
click lock (L) when you get target ..
click left side of compass to go right..
right side goes left ..
when target is lined up with 0 you are heading right for it
