Deck Gun and Flak Gun Crew?

[Lane]

I was on second patrol and on surface, north of Scapa
Allied air area 1939 was on surface air watch mode.
Was jumped by a aircraft I had given him serveral
orders like on page 37 and he did fire on attacking a/c
he did drop a bomb or dept charge? but missed and flak
gunner missed and he flew off. I got nervous and pulled
plug and dived. Now at lease he followed orders
Now the deck gun crew that's a different story ;D
They don't wait for any orders from watch officer
as soon as they see a ship they start firing
till i order them to hold fire. But the ship is alerted
so it makes it harder to chase it down.
Back to flak gun crew in Naval Academy training they
wont fire on a/c using orders menue??
So I had to shoot down them down myself which was
fun but why would the watch officer menue not work?
So In combat I don't trust my watch officer and flak gun
crew to follow orders and deck gun crew is to trigger happy :)Well at lease they Fire
Anybody else seen and prolems like this? bugs?

In the training missions teh flak gunner won't auto shoot the planes because they are neutrals, not enemies.
The deck gunner seems to carry on with your last orders, so if the last thing he was doing was shooting any target, he will continue with that next time you bring him out. Now, I am thinking if when you are done with him , even after he sinks a ship, give him one final order to 'Hold Fire' It may work for next time you bring him out. I have yet to try it though, I just leave him below deck until I want him shooting ... lol

your gun crew will move from the coning tower to the gun, if ya don't want them to open up on anything when you engage, move them back to the con from the gun after the battle

You said move crew to con tower? Just though bridge
was only area you could move crew plus gun postions?
did not known you could move crew from con or bridge
to deck gun or flak gun. "Boy" you guys know this SH3
