Loading torpedos

Later in years (1943) I give the command to load fresh torpedos while on sea in a mission (since I fired some) from internal as well external positions. But I can go on sailing for days and weeks and no torpedo is being loaded!
I have enough crew in the proper compartment and yes I gave the order to load the torpedos via the weapon offcer's tabs.
What the problem?

I'm not sure what realism setting you have on. The higher the realism the more you need to do.

First make sure you have enough crew in each torpedo room.
Next go to your weapons screen. This is the screen that shows how many torpedoes and how much ammo you have for your guns. Your Weapons officer has a Icon for it. Or hit the hot key think it's "L" or "K" In the torpedo screen click and drag the torpedoes you want to load from your internal and external reserves to your active reserves. ( should be 6 in the front and 2 in the rear for a IX boat).
Your active reserves will load automatically. ( as long as you have crew in place.) One last thing to click and drag your internal and external reserves you must be surfaced. Will not work if you are submerged.
