Any Ideas black sunk symbol

Hi Guys ,

Back on second career. In a really bad storm North of England a symbol I have never come across suddenly appeared. It is a black ship sunk symbol. I sure never sunk anything. Any ideas of what it means . Ship lost to Storm maybe ?

Using Real U-boat 1.43, in which you turn on the map contacts thingy in realism options, I've seen these for the first time very recently.

I think that they are ships lost to bad weather, as I've only ever seen them occur in bad weather, and sometimes I've been chasing hydrophone contacts, only for the sound to disappear, and that map symbol appear. Very annoying! ;D
