I was just testing out the Bismarck to see if i had swashthingies on it (i dont ) and i had the flukiest happening ever !
Well i decided to play the mission, since its so quick, and lined up HMS Rodney, with a tear in my eye i set to work, measuring distance, checking angle and speed. Then i had a good set up, i pressed the button to fire 3 torps at a 5 degree spread and apologised to my Grandfather in heaven. Grinning i waited for the unfolding carnage...
A few seconds later i suddenly realised, i had done my favourite trick... I had set everything in the pad and not done the final tick to send it to the TDC!!! "Arggg" I shouted at the screen, "every time!!!" i always seem to do this when im excited! (miss not shout) My weapons officer was shaking his head in dismay... "I really SHOULD do the shooting sir..." he muttered.
Being the professional captain i am i tried to salvage something from the situation, the Bismarck was rolling over in submission to the mighty RN and i yelled in triumph!! My crew giving me funny looks. No wait a minute... im on the German side, i thought, right time to get payback.
Now i ticked the damn pad and sent the last front torp on its way and hit hard left rudder to spin the rear round. Just at that moment i heard a boom, spinning the scope i saw of the torps had done its explode for fun routines, damn magnetics... but then wait... that is right in line for the HMS King George the V
Falling off my seat i clambered back up and then trained my scope on the King George and prayed that exploding torp hadnt taken the other two out, sure enough seconds later... Boom... BOOM!!! Haha Brits! I will teach you not to name your ships after Kings!!! muhahaha Then another boom!! Even the Rodney got one for fun! My rear torp was way off though as both ships began taking evasive manouvers.
The destroyers soon came over to drop some charges on me, which was nice because i got some screens for my website tutorial on avoiding charges but the rough weather meant they had no chance. While they were throwing stones in the wrong pond i went over to Georgy, and she had a massive list on!!
Soon after the hits...
Poor ship, a check of the rear and one of the quad props had stopped, the ship was doomed. Tear in my eye i slunk back to my captains cabin and waited for the fireworks to stop.
An hour later i came up to scope depth and finished her with another 4 or 5 torps (2 or 3 duds ) then decided to punish my crew for daring to sink such a beauty by checking out the crush depth...
It was 204 metres
