I'm sure most of us saw this thread on the Ubi forums, but I wanted to post here for anyone who may have missed it. Help is on the way.

This was originally intended to be a PM in reply to BobV_07 but it's probably of interest to you all so here you go:
Apologies for being grumpy but it can become somewhat exasperating being stuck between a rock and a hard place – trust me, both sides get my grumpyness, not just you lot
When it comes to Silent Hunter III I’m not able to comment on the patch little more than it’s in development, the devteam don’t want to be officially committed to something when there’s some time left and things might change. It would be reasonable to assume that things that 1.3 broke would be fixed but I can’t officially commit to that.
The reason for it taking around a month to get the patch finished? We want it fully and extensively tested so it doesn’t cause problems to your game. The last thing we want to happen is to break more things than we fix.
What’s going to be fixed? Many things. Again, I can’t commit to anything as some things might be changed in the testing/development of the patch. (If anyone you become lucky enough to see readme’s for patches then you’ll see what I mean)
When we’re satisfied with the patch we’ll release more information. Sorry about it taking so long but, as anyone in software development will tell you, sometimes when you’re asked “how long?” you immediately get a mental picture of a ball of string.. Usually with a lil kitten stuck on the end making it longer and longer.. I like kittens I do.
Lots of love
