I've just sailed out of the berth at Lorient.Immediately outside the pen two German destroyers were moored side by side.under the cranes on my starboard side were two Swedish coastal merchants.Sailing up the docks towards me was a German armed trawler.Other vessels were moored by the dockside as I sailed down the harbour towards the open sea.German tugs ran to and fro.A coastal defence ship waited halfway down the port to escort me out to sea.If I'm lucky enough to make it back he'll be waiting to escort me back in.The weather is bad.Rain,clouds,sea running high.No mod this.I did it all easily with the Mission Editor.No need for me to set any thing else up,it's all there waiting for me on the open sea.Convoys,Escorts,single Merchants and Warships everything I would find in the full blown Campaign game.O.K. I've got to use a little more imagination,maybe throw a dice to find which grid I get to go to.Work out my own medals and promotions,write stuff down with a pen on paper.Just for all that extra life in harbour when I leave and when I return,I think it's worth it.And all my dials work!
