OK, I have DSL for my internet connection and I am using a DSL modem/router combo. I have tried to host a game many times and nobody joins. I think its my router. What do I need to do to host a game wile still using my presant setup? PS I'm using Zone Alarm for a fire wall. I have disabled it and still nobody can join.

Bob I hate to tell ya...but in one of the read me files.... they say you may not be able to host a game behind a NAT router (which is what you have). Now if you trying to host and play a game on the same PC behind the NAT router...THat may work. I would ask at the UBI forum for what PORTS you need to forward in your router so the router will allow the outside world to connect to your PC. I usually try and run a game server on one PC and play on a different PC. And a lot of games have issues with that. I dont understand how some games have no problem with this...and others do. I used to run a 24/7 Freelancer server for my clan (as well as AMericas Army) and had no problems wiht my set up. I think its just lazy network coding. So to summarize 1) look for the readme file in your SH3 game directory.... I remember seeing something in there about NAT routers and multiplay and 2) Ask for what PORTS need to be forwarded in your router.

Thanks a buntch faamecanic. I actual did some fooling around with my router settings and I'm able to host games now. LOL! Thanks though anyway. I call my hosted games "Lets Get'em" Hope to see you on a multiplayer game. Dom has tried to setup a multiplayer game a few times and nobody was interested. Would be great if we could get a buntch of us together on this forum to meet for a wolf pack! I would love to host it.

I checked yesterday and still only had 2 servers on my server list. I did join and play a game...so it seems like its working.
Do you guys only have a few servers on your list?? I did this about 10am EST (USA).... so maybe there just arent many servers up at that time?

I dont know about any other servers exsept the UBI server. But I have noticed that most of the time there are only 1 or 2 people hosting a game on that server.
