When i bring up the scope station my cursor goes all "drunk " and sluggish before i manage to get the scope up. Is this a bug ? Running Pent 4, Ge force 5200 , 512mb. Cheer's lad's.

not really a bug, the game is designed for 1024 ran and an 8000+ graphics card so you are just getting graphics lag, especially if you are using time compression

I get it a bit with my 5600 256mb card as well. I find if you do the control-p thing (if you have ships in your periscope or binocs or whatever) it tends to get better. If you have lots of trouble all the time i would suggest going to video options and set the 'Particles' slider all the way down to zero.

I was thinking about upgrading my vid card as well. I was talking to a buddy in the 'biz' and he said if at all possible to hold opff for 4 to 6 months. Apparently that is when a the new cards come out, and prices of the existing ones should drop a fair bit. Not sure i can wait though ....

SOmething i learned from playing games is "ITS ALL ABOUT THE RAM".
My advice is buy another 512mb ram stick and you'll improve all your games performance several fold. If you hunt around for sales or clearance on computer parts sites on the internet you will eventually find an extremely LOW price.

Thanks shipmates, think i'll hold off on the vid card and go for the memmory. Thanks Zak, remember reading that before the prob was apparent. I'll give that a go too. I'm indebted once again, and not for the last time i'm sure.

LOLO You press DELETE before it boots... The video apperture reffers to how much ram is on your VIDEO CARD, not your motherboard. So if you have let's say a GeForce FX5200 with 128 mb ram on it (like i do) set it to 128 Doesn't really make much difference, but the game laggs less now.
