i remember in the painful, painful days before i got SH3 and there were people who did have it, i read a thread that one person was on the surface deck gunning a ship and the final explosion killed either his deck gun crew or bridge crew.
has anyone ever been harmed by a ship exploding? or was he telling porkys?

I haven't been but, I never get that close to the target ship.

hi Yes it can hurt you or the sub because last night a pt boat just blow up in front of me and reduce my hull from 100 to 98  and I lost my first crew in the aa gun because of it´s mgs after I kill it I made a sea funeral play the song "Ich hatt einen kameraden" and shoot a 10 SS rounds salute for my first dead it was night in the game too  by da way what did u guys did when your first crew die. when my first crew member died,the first thing i did was die myself about 30 seconds later!!! ;D

by the way,are u sure it was the MTB exploding that did the damage? maybe it was small arms fire from it or (depending how close u were to it) a collision?

I've not lost a crew member yet or, even had one injured in 22 patrols.  |

Nope, never had that happen to me and Ive gotten close a few times when the ship explodes. Although I have offten wondered if it were possible to recieve damage from an exploding ship. In real life you would.  |

yeh,its never happened me either. but then ive never seen/gotten close to an ammo ship. And i DEFINETLY read that in one of the threads on the UBI forum just after the game was released.. its possible he was just mistaken and a shell from another ship[ nearby did the damage
Im going to have to start taking notice of where i read these things....

yeh,ive been that close too before. whoever posted the thread i saw must have been mistaken. it must have been small arms fre from the ship,or a nearby one. pity tho,it would have been good.
