Was working on the site of a Defence contractor last week and somehow, someone managed to drop a periscope on an unlucky (!!!!!) individual. Broken arm, leg , ribs and miscellaneous bruises so i'm told............would'nt be me, nein danke. do'nt care how many squillions of $s it cost.

I'd say he was lucky.
I've heard of people being crushed to death by periscopes.

Heh, never even consider being squashed by a periscope as a possible way of getting injured or killed. Now that you guys mention it, sure, I can see it happening. Just not in my world, as there are no sub parts anywhere around me. lol

It was at the manufacturers own site, so it was'nt on board. Do'nt know the exact details as it happened the day before. Much hushed voices and chattering from the workforce, ie "thank F**K it was'nt me ". Anyway the health and safety authorities will no doubt be investigating.
