Thats a nice patch, it fixed some of the problems so now the bugs list is a bit shorter at the top of the page As for the storm thing that is supposed to happen, travelling in high seas slows you down. Also another thing which happens is that sometimes its so high the U-boat is submerged so the electric engines kick in. Because of this they are being recharged so the boat goes slower. The way round this is via the cheif engineer, click on normal movement, or whatever it is lol the propellor sign. That way the batteries wont be charged. This is also usefull when you have just surfaced and are chasing a ship or running from an enemy. If you dont click this the boat will only run on one prop while it charges the batteries which slows you down a lot!!! Hope this helps.

Actually a buddy of mine is a submariner (on Nuke subs) and he said that on older subs you could string a clothsline across the sub and dive to a normal cruising depth... and that string would have a large sag in it from the Hull compressing. So I would think that any pressure (how deep is 30m??? like 90 ft) would cause the hull to creak... Think of the pressure on your ears and such when you dive in a 10' swimming pool... Every 30-33 feet in salt water adds another entire atmosphere pressure. So at 99 feet you would be looking at least 4 times the pressure of what you are sitting in now (assuming you are at sea level at the moment) Hmm, it may be every 30 for salt water and 33 for fresh. Forget how it works, my scuba diving test was many years ago ... lol

Maybe I can shed some light on the underwater watch crew thing, or at least an explanation. I have found that it only seems to occur when you use the depth guage to order the new depth. The boat will dive to the new depth but the watch crew will diligently stay on duty and develop gills . If that happens, simply order periscope depth or a crash dive and you will hear the footsteps and hatch closing audio and the crew will have gone from the bridge. I have not tried to order the crew out whilst submerged, um, seems a bit silly really ;D. Riv

This may or may not be a bug. It could be me just missing something (like a brain) . I have noticed that when I try to set the torp speed in manual TDC, occasionally tubes 3 and 4 can't be set at anything other than slow. This has now happened to me twice and it's quite frustrating. Other times it works just fine on all five tubes, now what's up with that? I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Riv

sounds like you have electric torpedos in 3 and 4 which only have one speed SLOW, those you can only set depth and pistol

I have done what Stryker just said, tried to change the speed of electric eels. Silly me. Also though, i have had what Riv said, where you are trying to adjust a steamie and it seems to not want to. I almost think it is a purpose lag thing. They can only switch the speed on one torp at a time, so take 5 or 10 seconds before you can switch another. Not sure though, might just be me finding an excuse for what is a bug.

Thanks guys, I just checked. This time at least it's a case of getting up this morning and leaving my brain on the bedside table. There are indeed electric eels in tubes 3 & 4. Now I wonder how they got in there - I was sure I loaded up with all bubbles and steam. It was probably the same reason the first time it happened. Riv

mmm i never had any trouble with torpedo switch lag. I get time compression lag, where sometimest the sound sticks and plays the same line of a song for 5 seconds or so lol.
Its usually when i am near land so i think its because its loading up all the towns ect. I expected some slowdown and im just glad my computer even plays the thing! Well i found some more bugs so i updated the first page again. Keep your eyes peeled for the diablos!
Oh ps about the single contacts you get, i was just reading the battle of the atlantic book and it mentioned that the germans had cracked the British Naval codes early on. Something like bdienst or something (sorry my books not here and im too lazy to go get it...)
So maybe this is what is represented by the single contacts. They could tell where convoys were sometimes and no doubt could pick up transmitions of single ships and locate them well through their coded messages which they had cracked. I wish they had said what the damn contacts were when they released the game... Would have made me feel less guilty about chasing them lol

By lag I was being misleading. The switching of the torps speed does not cause lag, as in lower my frame rates or anything. I meant there just seems to be a short wait period between switch one right after the other. I click one and it switches immediately, then I start clicking the other and it does not seem to switch for a few seconds, after a few back to back rapid clicks. I thought maybe it represented the fact that they could only change one torp at a time or something. *shrugs*

Yeah i knew what you meant, i dont have that problem. Its the same speed for all torps. Must be some sort of lag is what i was trying badly to say lol.
