Englands Navy would have been defeated quite possibly, if Hitler waited for more "Bismark" class Battleships to be finished.

Englands RAF would have had to deal with ALL of the Luftwaffe if Hitler didnt divert resources to fighting on the eastern front.

If the UK was not under attack would they have repalced Chamberlin with Churchill. I admire Churchill for being such a "Dont Mess with me" type person. While he had his personal problems... he most certainly guided England through a VERY pressing time. I am afraid if Chamberlin stayed in the position he would have bent over backwards to apease Germany...and in effect allow Germany to "rule" England by placing only those English politicans that would kiss Hitlers behind.

USA probably would have stayed complacent much longer than it did and by the time we woke up it would have been too late. Quite possibly the Soviets would have fallen and then Hitler would turn his focus on the UK. while at the same time it would have given Japan that much more time to manuver and build up its forces, as well as finish the battles in Manchuria/China.

Germany could have concentrated ALL his forces on the Soviets... and probably defeated them.


In a way we should all be glad that Hitler was a insane megalomanic that would NOT listen to his Admirals and Generals..... the world would be a very different place if he didnt.

The name of the admiral was Erich Raeder. He was against operation sealion and operation Barbarossa. He felt that he could stop the British by increasing the number of u-boats.But thats of no surprise to me he generally disliked the Nazi party and never really agreed with Hitler on anything. thats probably one of the reasons why he was demoted.

Hello all interesting comments but some of you don't read much history of WW2 please don't regard that I am having a go at you I am not its great reading and well done posting your comments its still all good reading anyway here are some facts.

1. Yes it is true Hitler regarded the British as second rate to Germans but were civilized and Hitler respected the British and was not in favor of invasion in fact Hitler wanted to protect us by offering his services one such fact three divisions of Fallschirmjaeger.

2. Goring wanted to have a real crack at the R.A.F and made stupid remarks like he would knock the R.A.F out with in three weeks so Hitler gave the green light on one condition no city was to be bombed

3. British Radar played a big role in detection the Germans knew this but only carried out few raids against radar stations and Air Chief Marshal Sir Hugh Dowding tactics helped to where down the Luftwaffe but slowly we were also being to and came close to being knocked out

4. The turning point in the battle of Britain it was us who bombed Berlin two or three times which outraged Hitler who gave the order to bomb British city's
this came around at the time the R.A.F was on the verge of being knocked out Hitlers decision helped to give the rest bite that the R.A.F needed London payed the cost for the rebuilding of the R.A.F

5. By this stage Goring was fed up and went on hunting holidays and lost all interest in the battle

6. Operation Sea Lion is now knowed as one big bluff Hitler had no real interest in this operation and by December 1940 Hitler gave the order Ost Bound Ost (Eastern Build up)

7. By October 1940 it was clear the Luftwaffe had lost the battle of Britain which was the first major set back.

8. The royal navel stood in the way of the invasion

9. This was Goring's second blunder after Dunkirk and should have been sacked as we all know more mistakes followed Stalingrad 42/43 and Tunis 43 and so on Goring was not up to the job and thats a fact.

10. HMS Hood had a refit and only her aft decking was reinforced not her forward the lucky shot from the Bismark was only due to Hood making a turn which cost her life latter on the obsolete Sword Fish Biplanes made a lucky hit with a torpedo which damaged Bismark's steering making her go around in circles and Winston Churchill issued the order sink the Bismark what ever the cost and in 1942 he gave the same order for the Tirpits which he called "The Beast"
