Any Problems showing up with Patch? Have not installed yet Reading some post over in SH3 offical web sit forum. Some having problems FPS rates lower? Some are testing new crush depths. Some are Happy campers Some are not? Lane

lol i did my good old trick of messing with the controls and making a copy, but i have lost my copy. So cant install the patch....
Can someone with the Euro DVD version please mail me the commands_en.config file Pleaaaase.
Saves me reinstalling and messing about.
If not then i will get to reinstalling. The patch looks good, but still no word on compressed air in the notes. I dont think they have done anything with compressed air have they.

Guys, I don't know what to do about the 1.3 patch? I am in port now and could easy remove 3 mod's with jones mod program and patch to 1.3? All most of what I am reading over in Subsim.com Neal's SH3 forum is a bunch of un happy campers? May just leave it at 1.2 and wait and see if what mod's show up to correct a bunch of problems And reinstall some mod's back into Ver 1.2 I think my CTD were coming from a sound mod I had installed removed it and no more crash. Which way are you guys going? Later Lane

Yep , i didn't read it , crashed the game a couple of times before figuring it was the patch that was causing the problem , restarted my career You've guessed it , i lost all my career history (27 patrols into 2nd career) Am i bitter , lmao , not a bit , it means i can get to start the war all over again, eeeeeeeeeeeeeh , it weren't like this when i were a lad ,! So i'm currently patrolling the East Anglian coastline in something that is too small, too slow, and doesnt carry enough torpedos to blow the skin off a rice puddin' Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh It'll be over by christmas ,

The biggest problem is the sonar man is now deaf and mute. He can no longer tell the difference between a warship and a merchant and will not call out any contacts at all. The radar man is also mute. I think I will go back to version 1.2 till this mess gets cleared up.

Same here I am staying with Ver 1.2 I did install RealUboat mod 1.22 working ok so far crew Fatigue No problem I have when to my patrol zone AL78 Patrol complet in zone, heading back south .Just saw one Destroyer long distance. had a convoy contact radio to me but never made contact. I may install berrys mod to clear the water up some it is very dark about zero visual under water. Would like to find some ships on way back to home port. Yes I hope the sonar and radio postion will be fixed. Regards Lane ;D

I installed it, but havent had much chance of playing it. I hadnt any of the mods installed though, except for the hi res moon, and it didnt seem to cvhange that. to be honest, i hadnt even noticed that the sonar guy wasnt calling out reports!! I usually use the hydrophone myself though.

And i agree with you about the type II's they are woefully underarmed. Especially if like me u only get one hit in five if your lucky with manual TDC, and no deck gun to make up the difference!

sounds like there are alot of problems with 1.3. Think I'm gonna stick with 1.2 and real uboat mod until 1.4 comes out... though i think i'll have to be very patient

Still with ver 1.2 and RealBoat 1.22 I did go back to my orignal water color files in the Env folder. I like to see my boat when it's under water. I was runing a single mission Happy times just to test water colors and the Sun looked funny? Like it was to big? Was there a sun mod in RealBoat 1.22? Still have my career save on patrol 16. I got a convoy report but missed any contact just saw one lone destroyer in BF area ? He never made contact with my boat look's like he was just on Patrol moved away No problem with crew fatigue yet No indication that's any body is tired I keep off duty crew in sleeping area will keep watching about the 1.3 patch feedback. Overall I think that 1.3 has some good features. For one, the ports are now implemented which makes it a lot easier to navigate in and out of Lorient and other bases. Also the camera now has a chase mode which will keep track of your boat. The new nav tools are good although they look like a copy of jiim's original mod. Indeed, he does get credit for his originals. Personally, I seem to be getting better frame rates all round. Others report porked frame rates - go figure. The only major fault I can find is with the sonar and radio stations. It appears as HW3 has stated that the operators of these stations have become deaf and had their tongues cut out . Another thing regarding the hydrophone station is that (for me at least) the ambient volume knob no longer seems to work regardless of whether you are submerged or not. When they fix the sonar and radio room it seems to be a decent patch. That said I can't comment on some of the issues that are supposedly fixed, i.e. crush depths, snorkel, better protected convoys etc. On the convoy protection, all I can say is that some report DD's as being "uber" with depth charges getting hits every time even at maximum depths, and others that it's more realistic. The gramophone can now be used without having the in-game music enabled. At night, the periscope views now have the red light mask over the notepad but the recognition manual still glows like a star-shell and is still very distracting. I have altered the manual myself and although it's not an ideal solution, it no longer burns your retinas out at night and is still perfectly acceptable during daylight ops. Best I can do for the moment.
